For art supplies, Junior or Senior BFA majors, 3.0 GPA, financial need, renewable

The Ayamara Castillo Art Service Award

This scholarship is made possible by a generous donation from the family and friends of Ayamara Castillo to Eastern Kentucky University. Ms. Castillo was, in addition to being a talented art student, one who generously gave of her time to the service of the Art Department, serving as a member and president of the Art Student Asssociation.

The award is given to a deserving student majoring in art at EKU who, like Ayamara, has exhibited scholarship, leadership and service to the Art Department and Community. Applications are available in the Art Department Office. Award amounts may vary from
year to year.

R Van Boskirk Memorial Fund


Richard Deane Art Scholarship

This award is to pay tribute to Richard Deane's dedication and service to visual art education at EKU, in Kentucky, and beyond. It is made possible by generous donations. Criteria for consideration include proof of the student's dedication to art as a major, and will come in the form of an application packet. The department's Scholarship/Recruiting Committee will annually review all completed application packets and select one recipient by the last Friday in May. The award of up to $500 for the academic year is applied to tuition and fees, with up to $250 being applied each semester. Application packets must be received by the first Friday in April. They must be clearly marked and addressed to the EKU Department of Art Scholarship Committee, Richard Deane Scholarship, 309 Campbell Bldg, 521 Lancaster Avenue,
Richmond, KY 40475.

Creighton Art Award

Art major w/ min 36 hrs, 3.0 GPA, completed 9 hrs in art, financial need, renewable


The John McMillian Long Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship

This scholarship is named in memory of John M. Long, former Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities and supporter of the arts. It is open to all full-time Eastern Kentucky University students enrolled in Art, Music or Theatre. The amount of the award for the academic year 2000-2001 is $500.
