Richard Herzog and Michelle Rogers
Opening Reception: Thursday, August 31, 5 - 7pm
Lower Gallery : Richard Herzog, Sculpture. Machine Made. Mr. Herzog, an adjunct professor of art at the Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis, uses sculpture as a lens through which he examines social constructs, gender roles, and other prejudices. His humorous sculptures question how the functionality, or its lack, of machines, instruments, and tools impact our daily lives.
Upper Gallery : Michelle Rogers, Photography. Revisiting the Past . Ms Rogers recent work experiments with the juxtaposition of multiple images from different times and places in order to create an enigmatic narrative. In creating triptychs that incorporate her own images with old postcards, Ms. Rogers connects past and present to forge a link with earlier, anonymous photographers.

Opening Reception: Thursday, November 2, 5 - 7pm
Lower Gallery : Michael Hale, Sculpture Southern Exposure.
A Kentucky native, Mr. Hale will exhibit mixed media sculptures created while in exile in Columbia, South Carolina. His works are formal in design and draw inspiration from his own skewed perceptions of poetry, music, history, mythology, and puns.
Upper Gallery : Douglas Navara, Drawings Palimpsest. Mr. Navarra's drawings assert a that it is not only what the artist brings to a work that matters, but that the drawing surface itself is of equal importance. It has a past of its own which establishes an element of time and history. His richly layered images sets up a dynamic between line and page to create a spatial presence.
